【摘要】:Refractiveindexandrefractivedispersionarefundamentalphysicalproperties,whichcanbeusedinconjunctionwithotherpropertiestocharacterizepurehydrocarbonsandtheirmixtures.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthemeasurementofrefractiveindex,accuratetofourdecimalplacesorbetter,oftransparentandlight-coloredhydrocarbonsintherangeof1.3300to1.5000attemperaturesfrom20to30x00B0;Cbymanual(optical-mechanical)orautomatic(digital)procedure.1.2Themanual(optical-mechanical)procedurealsocoversthemeasurementofrefractivedispersionaccuratetothefourthdecimalplaceorbetter.Note18212;Thetestmethodmaybesuitableformeasuringtherefractiveindicesofliquidsabove1.5000andattemperaturesbothbelow20x00B0;Candabove30x00B0;C;however,thetestmethodprecisionmaynotapply.Verificationoftheaccuracyofsuchmeasurementswilldependupontheavailabilityofreliable,certifiedreferencestandardsthatdemonstratetheperformanceoftheinstrumentusedundertheparticularmeasuringconditions.1.3Thetestmethodmaynotbeapplicabletoliquidsthatarestronglycolored,orthathavebubblepointssonearthetesttemperaturethatareadingcannotbeobtainedbeforesubstantialweatheringtakesplace.LiquidcolorshouldbelimitedtoNo.4ASTMColororlighter,asdeterminedbyTestMethodD1500.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
