【摘要】:Thisguidedefinesaminimumcombinationofconditionstoprovideareasonablebasisforthevisualevaluationofcleaningandwhiteningorbrighteningperformanceofhomelaunderingproductsorprocedures.Toprovideamorepredictiveandbroaderscopeofevaluationortoassessspecialproducttypesorenduses,testingshouldbeaugmentedbyextendingspecificvariables.Thisguideissuitedtotheevaluationofthecleaning,whiteningorbrighteningpropertiesoflaundryproducts.Thisguidedoesnotaddresstheevaluationofsomeotherimportantperformanceaspectsofproductssuchas:theeffectonfabriclifeorhomelaundryappliances,orthephysicalpropertiessuchaspourability,dustiness,orsolubility.However,theeffectoncolor,feel,orodoroffabricsmaybeevaluatedbyappropriateandrelativelyminorchangesinprocedure.1.1Thisguidecoversatestingtechniquethatmaybeusedforcomparingthecleaningandwhiteningorbrighteningperformanceofhomelaunderingproductsorhomelaunderingprocedures.Thistestingisdoneonnaturallysoiledfamilyitemsinhomelaunderingequipmentinalaboratoryundercontrolledconditionsonapairedcomparisonbasis.Asmanyasfourdetergentshavebeenputintoorderbyevaluatingthesetofmatchedgarmentstwoatatime.UsethestandardsreferencedinSection2ifinstrumentalreadingsinadditiontohumanpanelistsaredesired.1.2Thereisnosingleassessmentthatwillgivetheoverallperformanceoflaundryproduct.Asingletestcanonlypredicthowproductscompareundertheparticularconditionschosenforevaluationandcannotbeexpectedtoreflecttheircomparativeperformanceunderthemanyotherpossibleconditionsofuse.Aseriesofassessmentsisalwaysnecessaryinordertoevaluatethemanyaspectsofproductperformance.Whiletherearelaboratorymethodsofmeasuringindividualaspectsofperformance(forexample,redeposition,solubility),itisnecessarytoconductconfirmingtestsundercontrolledbutpracticalhomelaunderingconditionstosimulateconsumerexperiencemoreclosely.1.2.1Amongthevariablesthatcanaffecttheperformanceofhomelaunderingproductsorproceduresandthatshallbeconsideredindesigningtestsfortheirevaluationare:typeoffiber,fabricconstruction,fabricfinish,typesofitemstobewashed,loadsize,kindandlevelofsoilsorstains,waterhardness,watertemperature,pretreatments,thepresenceofvariouslaunderingaids,theconcentrationofproductsinthelaunderingsolution,sequenceofadditionofproducts,water,laundry,washtime,rateandtypeofagitation,spinspeed,dryingorironingmethods,andconditionsunderwhichtheitemsarejudged.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
