【摘要】:TestMethodD5430isconsideredsatisfactoryforacceptancetestingacommercialshipmentssincethemethodhasbeenusedextensivelyinthetradeforgradingoffabricandfabricacceptancedetermination.Thepenaltypointsobtainedingradingthesamerollsorboltsoffabricmayvaryconsiderablywhenusingeachofthethreeoptionslistedherein.Forthisreason,thesamepointassignmentoptionshouldbeusedincasesofdisagreementarisingfromdifferencesofvaluesreportedbythepurchaserandthesupplier.Iftherearedifferencesofpracticalsignificancebetweenreportedtestresultsfortwolaboratories(ormore),comparativetestshouldbeperformedtodetermineifthereisastatisticalbiasbetweenthem,usingcompetentstatisticalassistance.Asaminimum,ensurethetestsamplestobeusedareashomogeneousaspossible,aredrawnfromthematerialfromwhichthedisparatetestresultsereobtained,andarerandomlyassignedinequalnumberstoeachlaboratoryfortesting.Thetestresultsfromthetwolaboratoriesshouldbecomparedusingastatisticaltestforunpaireddata,ataprobabilitylevelchosenpriortothetestingseries.Ifabiasisfound,eitheritscausemustbefoundandcorrected,orfuturetestresultsforthatmaterialmustbeadjustedinconsiderationoftheknownbias.1.1Thesetestmethodsdescribeaproceduretoestablishanumericaldesignationforgradingoffabricsfromavisualinspection.1.2Thesetestmethodsmaybeusedforthedeliveryandacceptanceoffabricswithrequirementsmutuallyagreeduponbythepurchaserandthesupplier.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
